“Canarsie Pier” Trailer + Photos From New York Shorts International Film Festival

The latest Quail Bell short film is “Canarsie Pier.” We meet a 30-something and her grandmother on the grandma’s birthday, when the older woman reveals something surprising about her past. Intrigued, the granddaughter wants to take after Grandma and live the life she wants. But how can any of us live the life we want when we’re not sure of our greatest desires? What if that wish is still hidden inside of us?

I wrote the script for “Canarsie Pier” and Jacob Maximillian Baron directed/edited the film. Watch the trailer for the film here:

In other exciting news, Quail Bell’s co-production with No, Seriously Films, a short called “5 Ways I Didn’t Marry You,” screened at the New York International Film Festival this week. Director Tom Dunn and I couldn’t be there, so director of photography Keith DeCristo and production sound mixer Danny Roberts represented the team.

Here are photos from the screening at Cinema Village in New York City:

The next Quail Bell film is a documentary related to the Village Halloween Parade, and will premiere on the Stoddard Says YouTube channel next week.
