News: Quail Bell Wins The Center for Micro-Entrepreneurial Training – CMET Two-Minute Pitch Competition (Video)

I learned so much and had so many questions answered during The Center for Micro-Entrepreneurial Training – CMET small business accelerator! It was so wonderful to find community with other early stage entrepreneurs because this process can be very isolating. I’m proud of winning first place in the pitch competition, tying with Eva Bridges. I pitched an idea about Quail Bell doing a video campaign on farmers markets and SNAP EBT distributed via bus kiosks and QR code stickers in my beloved Brooklyn. During the pitch, I had no idea where my stomach was, but it was worth losing my nerves a little!

Quail Bell is a storytelling studio for real and unreal stories. Our core offering is storytelling rooted in writing, hosting, and art direction for video, publishing, and live events. We unite creativity with insightful analysis for businesses, in addition to authoring original multi-format projects. I accelerated my LLC after graduating from Columbia Journalism School and completing summer entrepreneurial training in broadcast, fine arts, and small business. During this period, I won media-maker fellowships from the National Radio Talent System, ProPublica, and the Austrian Embassy Washington.

The Quail Bell studio—yes, a physical location!—opened on the Brooklyn/Queens border in the Bushwick/Ridgewood area in August 2025, and is now available for client meetings. Want to see what we’re all about? Support a woman entrepreneur and book your discovery call today!
