“Jeanne’s Halloween Parade” is a documentary about Jeanne Fleming and her legacy against the backdrop of the 2024 Village Halloween Parade in New York City and the 2024 presidential election. Shot in Dutchess County and Manhattan, the film shows Jeanne behind the scenes. She oversees puppet construction, speaks on her role as artistic director over the years, and gives a tour of the puppet barn at Rokeby Estate, where she lives. Along the way, there are interviews with Elissa Stein, director of Cat Ladies Unite, Sophia Michahelles, co-founder and director of Processional Arts Workshop, and others, Taylor Ricco, director of artistic & production planning at Columbia University’s Miller Theater, and others.
